Box-Office Milestone: 'Captain America: Civil War' Crosses $1 Billion

The 11th day of the movie faced a little problem because of the week day the movie had occupancy of 54% on Monday with a decent collection of 1.75 Cr. The current predictions are that The Angry Birds Movie could take in as much $45 million, or as little as $38 million, over more than 3,900 screens when it hit cinemas over the next few days. (Four of those 25 have been MCU films.) Not too shabby for a kid from Brooklyn and his angsty frenemy group.

To date, Civil War has made $314.3 million in the United States and $676.7 million from worldwide markets.

Domestically speaking, the film is still trailing behind Deadpool, which has $362.5 million compared to Civil War's $310.5 million.

For those of you who don't feel like taking out your calculators, that's a global total of $991 million after three weeks in theaters.

It's estimated that Captain America: Civil War will gross $40 million over the weekend at the domestic box office. "The Avengers" is the fifth-highest worldwide grosser of all time, trailing "Avatar", "Titanic", "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Jurassic World". Basically, Disney continues its rather effective bid for global domination.

It's no surprise to anyone that "Captain America: Civil War" is a hit.

In the opening week, Captain America: Civil War successfully dominated the previous superhero movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and reported the outstanding business of 42.72 cr, that includes 27.13 cr of weekend and 15.59 cr of weekdays.
