Miesha Tate to face Amanda Nunes in July at UFC 200

NEW DEAL Miesha Tate has signed a new deal with the UFC

Holly Holm is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at an Albuquerque Isotopes home game on September 16. But the dynamics changed after Holm failed to defend her bantamweight title against Miesha Tate.

The title fight was confirmed by the promotion, late last night, and, handily enough, Tate was around for a mini media tour. Tate won the championship a little over a month ago at UFC 196, where she submitted Holly Holm via rear naked choke submission. Actually, Nunes has won three in a row since a loss to Cat Zingano in September 2014. Meanwhile UFC 200, which will feature a rematch between Nate Diaz and Connor McGregor in July, is expected to add a women's match, White recently told ESPN's SportsCenter via Yahoo Sports.

Even before White made his appearance at the presser, he was making the television rounds talking about how Tate's chief rival, former champion Ronda Rousey, wasn't watching the fight, but said it was "time to get back to work" when the UFC President informed her of the result.

Former Strikeforce featherweight champion Cristiane Justino, more popularly known as "Cyborg" has some words for former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Amanda Nunes may not be a world-famous name, yet, but she's the deserving number one contender at 135lbs. These two ladies will throw down at the monumental UFC 200, July 9, at the Las Vegas Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It appears that Miesha Tate will not be waiting on Ronda Rousey after all.

Rousey has since kept herself out of the limelight, but in February, she revealed that she did contemplate suicide after the loss, but hindered herself from doing so after the thought of starting a family with current boyfriend and heavyweight fighter Travis Browne entered her mind. "I think the next unsafe women after that is Nunes". This is the first time the UFC has had an interim championship match while the champion was fighting on the same card. This will be the biggest fight of Amanda's career.

Nunes (13-4) will enter this contest riding an impressive three-fight win streak.
