Stephen Curry Undergoes MRI On Lower Left Leg

Curry is leading the National Basketball Association in scoring at 30.5 points a game along with 6.4 assists.

"We're confident that whether he plays or not that we can compete and try to win here", Walton said. "That's probably going to be a game-time decision or at least determined on how he's feeling tomorrow".

"A relief is if they said he was playing and that he was healthy", Walton said with a smile before the matchup with the Mavericks.

"He hasn't said anything except for he wants to play", Curry also briefly left the Warriors' Christmas Day win over the Cavaliers with a calf injury before returning.

"The regular season grind is upon me, just working through it", Curry said after posting a triple-double against the Kings.

Harrison Barnes (sprained left ankle) and Leandro Barbosa (sprained left shoulder) did not travel and are expected to miss the trip. Walton said the availability of many of his players was "up in the air". "With the injuries we have, it's a little more complicated than that". Interim head coach Luke Walton told reporters after the game that Curry would sit out the next two games. He and (Microsoft co-founder) Bill Gates have done that. "I'm sure of it, and that's a historic thing".

Curry was injured during Monday's 122-103 victory against Sacramento. "It's got to be 'We are going to do this".

Steph Curry is having yet another MVP-type season and if the Warriors continue to run the Western Conference and make a deep run in the playoffs, he will take home his second such award in as many years.

According to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group, Curry's been dealing with a leg injury that might actually keep him out of a couple games on the Warriors' upcoming road trip.
