Bony ire at losing place to Aguero

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain insists Arsenal's squad is strong enough to cope with'hiccups during their title bid

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is likely to make his comeback following a six-week injury layoff in Saturday's Premier League encounter with Sunderland, manager Manuel Pellegrini said on Wednesday.

Pellegrini, meanwhile, has hailed the importance of the coming games against Sunderland and Leicester in their hopes to fight for the Premier League title, as the defeat at Arsenal left them four points behind the Gunners and six behind the Foxes. I think they deserved to win.

Arsene Wenger has criticised Pep Guardiola for his mid-season decision to announce his departure from Bayern Munich. "Today we improved in that sense and we made an individual mistake", Pellegrini said.

City won the Premier League and Capital One Cup under Pellegrini in 2014, but nothing last season.

Mills, who spent five years with City during the previous decade, insists the link to Guardiola is making Pellegrini's job more hard and has called on his old employers to clarify where the 62-year-old stands.

"You have a good connection (with the players) and that is the most important thing to be a good manager".

"You must win. In the second half we took more risks and we also had options to get at least a draw. But we are here to win it ourselves".

Asked if Bony had spoken to him, Pellegrini said: "I talk always with all the players about different situations".

"But at this minute I'm not thinking about talking about my future because if I start talking with the owners or the directors about what happens with my future I am just not doing what I am telling you".

"One day this will all end".

The Ivory Coast worldwide had scored three times in the four games since Sergio Aguero injured his heel against Southampton in late November.

"If they are distracted by that sort of thing, they are not professionals, not top players. There are a lot of games to play so we will think about the next game".

"We didn't play well".

"Clearly I have to look after them because both of them have been damaged over the years by football". The coach does what he thinks is best for the team.
