The Force Awakens has also yet to open in China, and won't until early January.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" took in a record breaking $120.5 million at the USA box office for its opening day on Friday. Thousands gathered for a friendly light saber battle in downtown Los Angeles on Friday, and moviegoers in cities such as Berlin and Paris arrived at screenings wearing Stormtrooper costumes, Jedi robes and Darth Vader masks.

"It is Fandango's top-selling movie of all time, even before it has even hit theater screens", said Fandango President Paul Yanover. Some $100 million in advance, tickets were sold for the movie's Thursday night debut. Saturday domestic receipts were expected to total $60 million, Disney said.

Since beginning its overseas roll out Wednesday, "The Force Awakens" has made an estimated $129.5 million internationally.
