AMD releases Catalyst 15.10 beta drivers for Ashes of the Singularity

AMD releases Catalyst 15.10 beta drivers for Ashes of the Singularity

The new Catalyst 15.10 Beta drivers can be found over at AMD's dedicated Catalyst beta driver support page and are available for Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 7, in 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

These drivers provide performance optimizations and fixes for several issues, including one where the driver would crash while playing the game in DirectX 12 mode. While these early release drivers aren't necessarily recommended for everyone - as there may be issues that have yet to be ironed out - if you would rather take progress over confirmed compatibility, then this could be right up your street.

However, some bugs have been cleaned up in this release.

The release would also improve performance of Star Wars: Battlefront, as the game could now use high-end graphics when played on mobile devices with switchable graphics.

Other resolved issues include the intermittent playback issues with Cyberlink PowerDVD when connecting to a 3D display with an HDMI cable and the possible driver installation halt on some configurations. Windows 10 systems may also experience a black screen on startup, though AMD says those systems will ultimately arrive at the login screen. Some changes have been made that should resolve the issue and they will continue to monitor user feedback on the problem. Or do you wait for a more stable release?
